When two teenagers are brutally murdered in the small town of Lakewood, a group of unsuspecting high school seniors, shallow and cruel at their core due to their privileged upbringings, decide to further scare their peers by spreading online rumors that a serial killer is on the loose. By describing the killer’s next victim’s, they try to see how many of their classmates they can convince that the killer is real. But when the described victims actually do start turning up dead, the group discovers that their story has turned terrifyingly real as one by one, they each begin falling victim to a violent and relentless killer.
